Derrick Idleburg Jr. was selected earlier this year to represent Rotaract KC at the Rotary International Convention in Lisbon, Portugal from June 23 – 26. Rotaract KC paid for the majority of the trip, but Derrick also had to raise funds on his own. He successfully attained his fundraising goal of $1,100 and has already departed for his incredible adventure.
He said, “I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to all those that read, shared, considered and donated to my campaign! Without your help, I would not have been able to make this campaign a huge success! It also helped that I constantly bothered as many people as possible for help with this. To those that don’t know, this will be my first time overseas what better way to spend it with Rotary and Rotaract members from around the world!?”
