Thanks to everyone who came out for our last chapter meeting and heard about Rotaract member Earnest McCoy’s trip with the Rotarians on a GSE exchange to Brazil. It was certainly a life-altering experience for him and one that we hope to offer to everyone sometime in the future.
In addition, we announced that we are expanding our chair positions to include a Historian and someone to assist with the program planning for Chapter meetings. A historian could be simply someone willing to take more photos at our events to help chronicle and excite prospective members to our group. A Program Chair would be highly integrated into the planning process and bringing speakers and professional development to our members. We have a large list of prospective speakers more than thrilled at the chance to bring ideas to our group we are just looking for someone to help coordinate. Should you be interested, feel free to contact our Rotaract email or tweet us at @RotaractKC.
We have several service event opportunities coming up so look for information to be released shortly on that front. In the mean time, Derrick has made it back from Portugal and we look forward to hearing all about his trip to the International Convention. Maybe next year we can send more than one person!
Have a safe 4th of July holiday and we will see you at the next event.
