The CureSearch Walk celebrates, honors, and remembers all those whose lives have been affected by children’s cancer, while empowering patients, families, volunteers, and clinicians to raise funds for children’s cancer research. Rotaract KC will participate by walking as a team.

Help serve the veteran homeless and make this event a success. We will be helping find clothes that work for the homeless, providing event assistance and more! This event has been going on for 22 years. They typically serve 500 veteran homeless Kansas Citians on Friday and 100 on Saturday. Rotaract KC will volunteer as a group on Saturday but please consider volunteering on Friday too (contact Heart of America directly if you can.) Shifts: 8:00a-12:00p (get lunch) and 11:30a – 5:00p (get lunch & dinner).

Socialize with Rotary Club and enjoy the Kansas City Zoo! Your $10 ticket gets you access to events at the zoo (penguins included!), hotdogs, chips, cookies and drinks and a cash bar with beer and wine. RSVP by June 6 for $10 ticket. After that, tickets are $15.

Catholic Charities’ TurnAround’s Outpace Poverty needs volunteers on June 21st at Liberty Memorial. They need volunteers very early in the morning (official time TBA) to help with set-up and for teardown. It is going to be a family friendly event with appearances from the Kansas City team mascots, music and of course—exercise. Here is the website:
