Here’s an opportunity to help business-minded youth from all over the Kansas City area in their professional development at Camp Enterprise from Saturday, Sept. 27 to Sunday, Sept. 28.
Camp Enterprise is a Rotary-sponsored event for highschoolers in the Kansas City metro to learn about running a business during a two-day camping experience at the Rotary Youth Camp. They’ll be in teams competing in a virtual business simulation where they have to create a product, bring it to market and become the most profitable out of all the other teams. Winners receive prizes worth real money. There will also be speakers from authorities on various topics in business, and Rotaractor Steve Nichols of Boswell Inc. will be the speaker on marketing.
If you’d like to participate, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org
and we’ll send you all the info you need. Camp Enterprise is looking for volunteers for the following positions:
• Kitchen help including cooking and cleaning for lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
• Discussion leaders who’ll be assigned to a single team and offer them guidance as they make business decisions. There are three sessions on Saturday with the first at 11:00 a.m. with the last session ending at about 8:30 p.m. There are two sessions in Sunday with the first at 9:00 a.m. and the final starting at noon. We encourage discussion leaders to volunteer for both days but if they are only able to attend one we are happy to have them.
